The core safety features (danger zones, safe routing, turn-by-turn navigation and community reports) are free forever, with no ads. Premium is a paid subscription (€3.99/month) from launch on 1 September, and there's a Tourist Pass for short trips. Sign up for the launch notification and you'll get a personal code for your first month of Premium free. We'd rather charge a fair price than sell your data.
Yes. Premium is a normal App Store subscription you can cancel anytime, and you keep access until the end of the billing period. If you're using a free-month code, nothing is charged until that month ends.
No. We never have, and we never will. Route requests are handled by our map provider without being linked to any account or identity, and incident reports are anonymous. If this ever changed, we would tell you clearly and give you a way out.
Nothing. There's no account to delete because we don't require one. Your route history and favourites are stored only on your device. Community reports (incidents and potholes) are shared anonymously with other drivers, they're never linked to you, and you can delete your own reports from inside the app.
No. Clearpath is independent. We use publicly available SAPS statistics and verified community reports, but we are not affiliated with the South African Police Service or the City of Cape Town.
You can drive with the free tier, it covers danger zones, safe routing and navigation. If you want offline maps, live alerts and location sharing for your trip, the Tourist Pass (€7.99 for 14 days, no auto-renewal) covers it.
Launching first on iPhone. Android follows after iOS.
